The start
Nothing ever goes like planned. But this should not be a problem but taken like interesting variations. Day 1 – Chalôn-sur-Saone to Seurre
Started great, good weather, perfect signed way, strong feet so I was super fast, which I would regret the next day 🙂 camping (7,40) was OK but stupid French group was shouting till night, nice German neighbors though, a lot of Germans on this cycle road Start 16h45 51.25km 2h38
Day 2 – Seurre to Orselle
Day started terrible with lots of raining, but met german couple, had nice talk and they gave me the great tip of next campsite 🙂 at 11 decided to pack in the rain, some rice porridge kept me nourished, nearly all day cycling in the rain. But all bad things have a good outcome. Love …
Day 3 – Ossele to L’isle-sur-le-Doubs

Day 4 – L’isle-sur-le-Doubs to Mulhouse

Day 7 – Küssaberg to Radolfzell
I passed by the Rhine fall with were quite nice, a bit like the mini Niagara Falls with boats and everything plus the tourists. Then on to the Bodensee, quite some hills but manageable, I took a nice swim again in the Rhine. Passed by the village Moos 🙂 Then I arrived at the campsite. …
Day 8 – Radolfszell to Tuttlingen/Donaueschingen and Beuron
Did some nice climb to the heights of the source of the Donau, around 1000m or more with ups and down. Took train from Tuttlingen to Donaueschingen to meet dad. After nice lunch and walk in the park left around 16h to follow the Donau. Was still 70km to the campsite but certainly the most …
Day 9 – Beuron to Ersingen
Beautiful part continued a bit. Started a bit late but fetched up with ludovic for breakfast in Sigmaringen. really nice city with castle. Day 12 – Vohrburg to Regensburg

Day 15 – Vilshof to Kaiser(Aschach)
Rain again, audio book again. Had little stop in Passau, Bavarian cities (except Regensburg which I love) are not my cup of tea. Day 16 – Kaiser (Aschach) to Au an der Donau
Day started nicely cool and early. Passed by Linz but not so interesting for me. The campers in Regensburg gave the tip to visit the concentration camp of Mauthausen. Day 17 – Au an der Donau to Kerms
Was raining again which meant audio book listening. In the afternoon at least only grey sky, because I was riding through the beautiful Wachau, lots of Vineyards and hills around the Danube, it’s even UNESCO world Heritage. campsite OK, met again a German biker I had talked to several times on different campsites 112,68km 6h17
Day 18 – Kerms to Vienna

oh it’s really nice here in the summer. Just have been one day before here when it was cold and raining before new year. I really enjoy staying with some friends so I’ll continue Monday on the bike. until then will be a lot of talking, cinema, books, eating and walking 🙂

It is really hard to leave again from Bratislava. So many nice moments, so I’ll delay my departure for Tuesday or so 😉 Everybody seems to want me to gain as much weight as possible 🙂 But good news, didn’t loose anything since Lyon so I might even gain a bit more here.

I left the world touring biker and continued. Quality of the asphalt is certainly degrading but not that bad yet, just slowing down things a bit.
